What is Supportive Homeshare Living?
Supportive Home share Living is a cost-effective combination of affordable housing and supportive services that helps people live more stable, productive lives.
Supportive Home share Living works well for persons who face the most complex challenges – individuals and families who are not only homeless, but who are mentally and/or developmentally disabled. Home sharing can be temporary or permanent housing. People living in shared housing sign leases and pay rent, just like their neighbors.
Why Home share?
Home Sharing preserves neighborhoods, creates an affordable housing option and in some cases, saves the threat of foreclosure. Home sharing creates structured living for persons who realize the benefits that come with living in a home-like environment.
Who is a Home sharer?
A home sharer might be a senior citizen, a person with disabilities, a working professional, a veteran someone at-risk of homelessness, a single parent, a college student or simply a person wishing to share his or her life and home with others.
